KBase will have a demo presentation and exhibit booth at this year’s ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM-BCB). Robert Cottingham, Co-PI of KBase at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, will present a KBase demo titled “Benefits of deploying your bioinformatics tools using KBase” showing bioinformatics researchers how to integrate their open-source tools into the KBase App Catalog and data environment. This makes tools and methods easily interoperable with other compatible tools and reference data, and easily accessible by others who use KBase. The work environment in KBase allows sharing that expedites user support and quick debugging.
ACM-BCB is the flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio and this year will be held in Boston, MA, August 20-23, 2017. The conference is the premier dissemination forum for interdisciplinary research linking computer science, mathematics, statistics, biology, bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics.
