PAG 2017

KBase staff demonstrated new analysis tools and highlighted research accomplishments at the 2017 Plant and Animal Genome Conference (PAG) in San Diego from Jan. 14-18 (www.intlpag.org) .

The “Plant Science at the JGI and KBase” workshop featured seven presentations showcasing work done by DOE Joint Genome Institute (JGI) and KBase scientists and collaborators to advance plant science for bioenergy and environmental research.

Two posters were presented at PAG by KBase scientists:

  • Sunita Kumari  “KBase: RNA-Seq Expression Analysis Made Easy Using the Narrative Interface”
  • Vivek Kumar “KBase: An Open and Extensible Cyberinfrastructure to Accelerate Predictive Systems Biology”

Staff from KBase and JGI hosted a joint booth at PAG XXV where over a hundred attendees came for demonstrations and learned about opportunities for collaboration.
